Aromas, CA – The time for silence is over. The Aromas Community Center Foundation (ACCF) board is making major decisions that affect the future of our community park, yet transparency is nowhere to be found. Now, residents have an opportunity to demand answers.
The next ACCF board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 20th, at 6:30 PM at the Aromas Grange, and community attendance is more important than ever. This is our chance to ask tough questions and demand accountability for the way the park is being managed.
Key Issues That Need to Be Addressed:
🔹 Fleecing Local Nonprofits – Why is ACCF charging outrageous fees to local nonprofits just to use the park, including a 10x increase in fees for youth soccer? Is the board using these fees to cover their own financial mismanagement?
🔹 No Playground After 30 Years – With over $1 million in funding received over the years, why has the ACCF failed to build a playground for Aromas children? Why has the board actively fought against efforts to fundraise for an all-inclusive play structure?
🔹 Where Is the $25,000? – Monterey County Supervisor Glenn Church handed the ACCF board $25,000 with no receipts, no documentation, and no accountability. Where did that money go? Why hasn’t the community been shown how these public funds were spent?
🔹 Zero Transparency in Park Finances – The ACCF board refuses to publish financial records, meeting minutes, or agendas. Why are they operating in secrecy when their job is to serve the community? What are they trying to hide?
Your Voice Matters
For too long, decisions about the Aromas Community Park have been made behind closed doors, leaving residents in the dark about financial management and future projects. This meeting is an opportunity to demand transparency, fairness, and responsible leadership from those who claim to be acting in the community’s best interests.
If you care about the future of our park, be there on February 20th at 6:30 PM at the Aromas Grange. Bring your questions, bring your concerns, and most importantly—bring your voice. The community deserves answers, and it’s time for the ACCF board to start listening.
